How to make Salsa Verde
Ingredients:
- One pint of Tomatillo halfed
- One Serrono Pepper desseed and halffed
- 1/4 of a Small Onion
- 2 Garlic Cloves
- One Tablespoon of Avocado Oil
- Two Teaspoon of Dried Oregano
- One Lime Juice
- 1/2 of a Cup of Fresh Cilantro picked off the stem
- Suggested to serve with tortilla chips
Directions:
- First Preheat oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit, peel and dry and rinse the Tomatillo. Also, rince the Serrono peppers, and the Cilontro.
- You can also use a grill and not cook and broil them eventually. You could mix all ingredients execpt for the lime juice and the cilontro and toss the ingredents together and get a nice char on them(then go to step 7).
- Next, take the Tomatillo and cut them into halfs and roughly chop the 1/4 of the Onion. Also, take the Serrono Peppers half them and deseed them and peel the Garlic and leave it whole.
- Then place the vegetables on the baking sheet and put the Avocodo oil with the Oregano on it.
- Make sure that the vegetables are all facing down to get a better char.
- Bake the vegetables in the oven for 15 minutes and then broil on high for 5 minutes.
- After the vegetables come out of the oven immediately transefer the them into a heat proof blender with the cilontro and lime juice. Blend on medium till smooth but still has chunks.
- Serve with tortilla chips.
